Why rubicon was cancelled

Member since January Seriously, for all its supposedly sophisticated we-won't-tell-you-jack-you-figure-it out approach to story telling, it tries too hard and lost majority of the viewers puzzling at the plot that seems disconnected. It deserves to be cancelled. Member since March I thought it was great and while I don't usually get lost in movies I must say even I had to rewatch the first episode. Once I got past that I now love it. On the other hand my husband hated it and has not watched any more of it.

So to each his own but what really annoys me is that they keep creating new series then cancelling them because they don't make enough money off of them but somehow mindless, easy rubbish continues to be released season after season.

I would really appreciate it one of these programs for the smaller market continued so that I can get some enjoyment out of TV too! Member since December US television networks, to whom the public airwaves are handed over, are private entities, answerable to no one. Their programming decisions are made in the interest of profit.

There is not the slightest trace of democratic control by the American population. That being said, Rubicon received positive reviews. By the series finale, viewership had dropped to just over 1 million.

It completed its fourth season in October. AMC originally American Movie Classics started life as a commercial-free classic movie cable channel, but in began interrupting its broadcasts with advertisements and lost much of its appeal. Rubicon is the first of the series to be cancelled. At the very least, AMC officials have shown they are not willing to make the sort of commitment to Rubicon they did to Mad Men. Why not? For a brief period of time, the show was available to stream for Amazon Prime members, but it has since been pulled.

There is no DVD release. No other streaming platform carries it. It has simply ceased to be. Perhaps this is just the type of mystery some amateur information analysts can try to solve. Please, someone blow the lid off this one. Chris Evangelista November 06, Latest blog posts. Latest reviews. Procession Matt Zoller Seitz. Red Notice Brian Tallerico. Cusp Sheila O'Malley.
