Extremely large or small individuals, guests who have a history of heart, back or neck trouble or recent surgery, expectant mothers, guests with casts, braces, restrictive devices or disabilities may be affected by the requirements needed to ensure these systems operate properly.
Our ride admission policy has been developed in consultation with the recommendations of the manufacturer, our past experience, and our evaluation of each attraction using our knowledge of the attraction both in normal and emergency operating conditions. Our prime consideration is the ability of each guest to endure the dynamics of each attraction without the risk of injury to that guest or other riders.
Most attractions cannot accommodate strollers, backpacks, cameras, stuffed animals, or bulky objects. Please leave them with a non-riding friend. Ride Operators cannot be responsible for these items. Headwear is discouraged on most attractions; however, if worn, it must be secured.
KidTrack, a wristband program that will assist you and the park personnel in reuniting your group should you become separated, is available at Guest Services. The park offers Parent Swap which allows one parent to ride while another parent waits with the child.
When the ride is complete, the parents swap child responsibility at the exit. Other appropriate safety requirements may also apply. The ride height requirements are posted at the attraction entrance. Some attractions may require a supervising companion to accompany a guest. A supervising companion is someone who meets all the requirements to ride the ride themselves, is 14 years of age or older, and demonstrates appropriate observed behavior.
Supervising Companions are responsible for ensuring that the guest remains seated properly-where applicable-and follows all rules and regulations.
For example, a child is not permitted to wear platform shoes to help meet a height requirement. However, without your cooperation, we cannot be successful. Please comply with all posted or distributed rules and guidelines.
Use common sense. Saturday is forecast for a major storm moving through L. Will Knott's open on Saturday? According to my previous question about how theme parks make their decision to close or not, people said it was a purely economic decision. If so, do they expect enough people to show up despite heavy rain to justify their operating costs? A couple of notes: 1 All park closures at Knott's in recent memory have been on off-season weekdays. My friend is coming with his wife and grade school daughter, and they were planning to enjoy the Peanuts festivities and family rides.
I am thinking he may change his plans Saturday morning if it's pouring rain, regardless of what Knott's decides to do. I think that with it being the weekend and the Peanuts festival going on, Knott's would need to see horrific weather forecast to bail on a Saturday.
That said, I think if the forecast holds, Sunday will be crazy busy at the park, regardless if it is open Saturday or not. Sit back with a sarsaparilla and some fresh popcorn and enjoy the show indoors. Show times are at 11, , 2, , Shultz Theater located across the train tracks, turn left past the fountain. Check knotts. Merry Christmas Snoopy on Ice is usually closed on Wednesdays. Visit local artisans to find the perfect Holiday gift.
Our favorite is Miss Doolittles and her slime factory! If the rain is bad, most outdoor quick service restaurants might be closed.
You can typically find all the seasonal Merry Farm foods at Sutters which is the main quick service restaurant located at the front of Ghost Town. Boardwalk BBQ has ample seating under cover, but it is not indoors. Ghost Town Grill is also a sit down restaurant located in the heart of Calico.
